Our pursuit of transformative learning not only enhances the educational experience of our students but also embraces diversity and unites our school and the wider community behind our aims

Key Stage 1 & 2

Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2

At Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, we build on the foundations established in EYFS to nurture confident, independent learners who are well-prepared for the future. Our curriculum is broad, balanced, and enriched with a range of experiences to support academic, social, and emotional development. Key highlights of our programme include:

English: Developing a Love for Reading and Writing

We continue to prioritise reading development using the Read Write Inc. (RWI) programme as our main scheme of work, ensuring children acquire strong phonics and reading fluency skills. Our English curriculum is centred around a storybook-based approach, using high-quality texts to inspire creativity, enrich vocabulary, and develop comprehension. Through engaging with meaningful stories, children explore language, structure, and expression in depth.

Mathematics: Mastery and Practical Application

Our mathematics curriculum follows the White Rose Maths and Power Maths frameworks, which are designed to help children master mathematical concepts through problem-solving, reasoning, and fluency. The focus is on ensuring children develop a deep understanding of key mathematical principles and can apply them confidently in real-world contexts.

Arabic, Religion, and Qatari Heritage

Arabic Studies, Islamic Education, and Qatari History hold a significant place in our school curriculum. Regular lessons throughout the week ensure that children gain a deeper understanding of their cultural identity, religious values, and the rich heritage of Qatar. These subjects foster a sense of pride and connection to their community.

Creative Expression Through Art

We provide dedicated art lessons to inspire creativity and self-expression. These sessions allow children to experiment with various mediums, develop artistic skills, and explore their imagination, fostering an appreciation for the arts.

Specialist ICT Lessons: Digital Literacy and Online Safety

Our dedicated ICT curriculum equips students with essential digital literacy skills, preparing them to navigate an increasingly digital world. Lessons focus on practical computing skills, problem-solving, and online safety to ensure that children become confident and responsible users of technology.

Physical Education: Health and Wellbeing

Children benefit from sessions with specialist PE teachers, who provide opportunities for physical development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our PE programme encourages students to discover and develop their sporting interests, promoting health, fitness, and a love for an active lifestyle.

Science: Inquiry and Critical Thinking

Our on-site science lab offers an immersive, hands-on learning environment where children can explore scientific concepts through experiments and investigations. By engaging in inquiry-based learning, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing them to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
