Message from the Principal

I am delighted to introduce myself as Alan James Lynch, Group Principal of the Doha Academy family of schools.

I bring over 17 years of international education experience, with a career spanning the UK, the Caribbean and the Middle East, and extensive experience of leadership at school, group and system level. My previous roles have included Principal, Executive Principal, Head of Education, Education Project Director, and Group Head of a portfolio of 10 schools serving approximately 12,500 students. Throughout my career, I have established a strong record of leading complex educational organisations, raising standards and delivering sustained, measurable and evidence-informed improvement across student outcomes, teaching and learning, attendance, leadership and governance, stakeholder satisfaction, and the effectiveness and efficiency of operational and corporate services.

Our mission to provide our boys and girls with an education for life, within happy and purposeful school communities where every child is empowered to achieve their best spiritually, morally, socially, intellectually and physically.

At the heart of my leadership is an unwavering belief in the transformative power of education and in the potential of every young person. I am passionate about creating the conditions in which every student is known, valued, challenged and inspired to achieve more than they thought possible. Working alongside our outstanding students, colleagues, families and wider community, I look forward to building upon the Doha Academy Group’s historic successes and advancing our vision to become a global leader in providing an accessible, outstanding and all-encompassing education that reflects the principles and teachings of Islam.

I am tremendously excited about the journey ahead and about what, together, we can achieve for every child across the Doha Academy family of schools.
